Terraria
Terraria servers support configurable world rules, access controls, protection options, and Player Management.
Choose a Server size
Start with Small for a new world and a typical friend group. Consider Medium or Large for more players or a heavily developed world, then use the live CPU and Memory readings in the Console to check whether a change is useful.
Essential Game Settings
Choose World Size, World Difficulty, the Message of the Day, lobby visibility, security, PvP, whitelist behavior, building and world-event restrictions, chest and spawn protection, remembered player positions, login limits, and periodic autosave.
World size and difficulty apply when a world is generated and do not rebuild an existing world. Stop the server before changing Game Settings, select Save Settings, and start it again to apply the saved configuration.
Connect
Wait for Running, then copy the Domain Name or IP Address and Password from the
Console. In Terraria, choose Multiplayer > Join via IP, enter the copied address, and use
port 7777 when prompted.
Player Management and Mods
Player Management is available while the server is running. It can show connected players and offers the supported kick, ban, unban, and broadcast actions.
Terraria does not currently have a Mods blade. The server uses its own configurable security and protection features exposed in Game Settings.
