Choosing a Server Tier and Server Size
Compare Server tier and Server size together. Neither label alone tells you the resources or price of a configuration.
Server tier
Tier describes the hosting platform level: Lite, Standard, or Premium, where available. It is separate from the game's capacity size. Compare the actual specifications and hourly rate instead of assuming the same size has identical resources across every tier or region.
Server size
Size is the game's Small, Medium, or Large capacity level. Larger choices generally provide more resources and cost more; the displayed CPU and memory are the useful comparison.
Choose for the game, expected players, world complexity, and mods. A Small option is not a promise that every workload will fit, and a player-limit setting is not a performance guarantee. Check the game guide before choosing.
Once the server is running, sustained CPU and memory use on Overview can help you review capacity. Do not resize solely because of one brief spike.
Price and later changes
The wizard shows the hourly rate in your wallet currency. Successful funded creation charges one full hour upfront; ongoing running time uses the owner's credits.
You can change tier or size in Server Settings later:
- A Running server restarts to apply the change, disconnecting players.
- If the new rate exceeds the rate already paid for the current hourly window, the difference is charged immediately and a new hourly window begins.
- A lower rate, or a rate still covered by the current paid-hour level, has no extra change charge and does not reset the timer. A cheaper choice does not refund the hour already bought.
- A change saved while Stopped waits until the next start. Starting can require an additional payment even with banked time if the new rate exceeds its paid level.
Review Server Settings before making a change.
