Roles & Sharing

Share links grant the permissions of one role. Create links from Roles & Sharing instead of sharing your account or giving every person the same level of access.

  1. Open the server from your Console.
  2. Select Roles & Sharing.
  3. Choose a built-in or custom role and review its permissions.
  4. Choose whether the link requires login or uses Allow anonymous.
  5. Select Generate link, then Copy link and send it to the intended person.

Each role has its own link. Everyone using that link receives that role's permissions, so use a different role when another group needs different access.

Choose the access type

A login-required link adds a signed-in visitor as a member. An anonymous link grants access directly to anyone who has the URL without adding them as a member. See Share Links and Access for the differences.

Revoke a link when it was sent to the wrong place or should no longer accept visitors. Revoking stops future use of that URL.

Existing members who previously joined through a login-required link keep their membership. To remove their access, remove the member or delete the custom role. For an anonymous link, revoking the URL removes that link-based access because there is no member record to retain.

Billing and responsibility

Every shared action uses the server owner's credits. Before granting Start/Stop, settings, mods, players, sharing, or deletion permissions, consider what that person can change and what those changes can cost.

Share links manage Console access. Players who only need to join the game normally use the connection details instead. See Connecting & Inviting Players.
