Server Status and Live Metrics
The status on Overview describes the server's current lifecycle state. Status and live metrics update while the page is open.
Status reference
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Stopped | Hosting is paused and hourly billing is paused. | Press Start when you want to continue. |
| Starting | The server is being prepared and the game is launching. | Wait for the transition to finish. |
| Running | Startup completed and the server is active. | Use the displayed connection details; some games may need a short additional load before accepting players. |
| Stopping | The game is shutting down and preserving its state. | Wait until the status becomes Stopped. |
| Error | The server reported a problem while active. | Read the status message and Activity Log, then use the relevant troubleshooting article. |
| Deleting | Permanent deletion is in progress. | Wait; the server and save data cannot be restored after deletion completes. |
Starting, Running, and Error are active billing states. Stopping settles the current session; billing is paused when the server reaches Stopped.
Live information on Overview
For an active server, Overview updates the online player count, CPU use, and memory use without requiring a page refresh. These measurements can help you recognize high load, but a brief spike does not by itself mean the Server size must change.
Overview also shows:
- Banked Hour: time remaining before the next hourly charge while active, or paid time held for the next start while Stopped.
- Current Session: how long the current run has lasted. It pauses when the server stops.
- Total Uptime: accumulated completed runtime plus the current active session.
Busy states
Starting, Stopping, and Deleting are busy states. Server Settings, Game Settings, and Mods are locked during these transitions. Wait for the current operation to finish before making another lifecycle or configuration change.
If the status is Error
Check the message on Overview and the Activity Log first. If the problem happened during startup, follow My Server Won't Start. Do not delete the server as a first troubleshooting step because deletion is permanent.
