Stopping Pauses Billing
Stopping a server pauses its billing and preserves the unused part of its paid hour.
Stop the server
- Open Console.
- Open the server or use its available quick action.
- Select Stop.
- Wait for the status to become Stopped.
The Stop action pauses billing and saves the remaining paid time. Wait for the status to become Stopped before treating the server as fully offline.
What happens to paid time
The remaining paid time is saved as the server's Banked Hour. Starting that same server resumes the saved time before another full-hour charge is due.
Example: if you stop with about 40 minutes left in Banked Hour, the next start uses those 40 minutes first.
What stopping does not do
Stopping does not:
- Return the remaining paid time to your Credit Balance.
- Delete the server.
- Remove its configuration.
Deletion is a separate permanent action. See Deleting a Server.
Start again
Select Start when you are ready. If Banked Hour remains, no new hourly charge is required at that moment. If it is empty, your Credit Balance must cover a full hour.
