Counter-Strike 2

Counter-Strike 2 servers support competitive, casual, and custom matches with configurable maps, rounds, bots, and team rules.

Choose a Server size

Start with Small for a private match or a modest player count. Consider Medium or Large as the player count, bot count, or match workload grows. Counter-Strike 2 is CPU-sensitive, so monitor the live CPU and Memory readings in the Console instead of relying on a fixed player estimate.

Essential Game Settings

Choose the Game Mode, Map Group, Start Map, and Max Rounds. You can also tune round time, freeze time, buy time, halftime, friendly fire, all talk, bot difficulty, and bot quota. A Steam GSLT Token is needed when you want the server to be publicly listed by Steam.

Stop the server before changing Game Settings. Select Save Settings, then start the server again. Players are disconnected whenever a restart applies a new configuration.

Connect

Wait for Running, then copy the Domain Name or IP Address from the Console. Find the server in the Counter-Strike 2 community server browser, or open the in-game console and enter connect ADDRESS:27015, replacing ADDRESS with the copied value.

Player Management and Mods

Player Management is available while the server is running. Use the actions shown there to view connected players and perform the supported moderation or broadcast actions.

Counter-Strike 2 does not currently have a Mods blade. Map and match options exposed in Game Settings remain available.
