Server Settings: Region, Tier, and Size

Use Server Settings to change the region, Server tier, or Server size. You need the role permission for managing server settings; otherwise the choices are read-only.

Compare configurations

Choose a region first, then compare the configurations available there:

  • Server tier is the hosting platform level: Lite, Standard, or Premium where available.
  • Server size is the game-specific Small, Medium, or Large capacity.
  • The configuration card shows the resources and the new hourly rate.

Availability varies by game and region. A change can alter the Server tier, Server size, region, or several of them together.

Apply while Running

Applying a different configuration to a Running server restarts it immediately. Players are disconnected while the server moves to the new configuration.

If the new hourly rate is higher, the owner's balance is charged the difference above the current paid-hour level immediately, and a new hourly window begins. The change does not proceed if the owner's balance cannot cover that difference.

If the new rate is lower, there is no extra change charge and the existing paid time is kept.

Apply while Stopped

A change saved while Stopped does not start the server. The new configuration and hourly rate apply the next time it starts. Starting uses any available Banked Hour; if none remains, the owner must have enough credits for the new hourly rate.

When changes are unavailable

Server Settings is locked while the server is Starting, Stopping, or Deleting. Wait for the current lifecycle transition to finish. A role without the required permission can view the settings but cannot apply them.

Applied changes appear in the Activity Log with their before-and-after values.
