Roles & Sharing
A share link grants Console access with one role's permissions. It is not a game invitation. For people who only want to play, share the game connection details instead.
Before sharing
You need Manage sharing permission. Decide what the recipient must be able to do, then review Roles, Permissions, and Members. The Owner role cannot have a link; choose Administrator, Player, or a suitable custom role.
Keep links private. Anyone receiving a forwarded link may be able to use its permissions, including starting paid sessions or changing the server.
Generate and send a link
- Open the server from Console and choose Roles & Sharing.
- Find the intended role and review its permission columns.
- Leave Allow anonymous off to require login, or enable it only if direct access for anyone holding the URL is appropriate.
- Select Generate link for that role.
- Select Copy link and send it privately to the intended recipient.
With login required, the recipient signs in and joins as a member. With anonymous access, they use the keyed page without joining the Members list. See Share Links and Access.
Revoke or replace a link
In the same role row, select Revoke link and confirm. The old URL no longer grants access. Generate and copy a new link only if sharing should continue.
Revocation does not remove members who already joined through a login-required link. Remove their memberships separately if they should lose access, and check for other roles. Anonymous access through the revoked URL ends because it has no membership to retain.
If a recipient cannot open the new link, check the role, access type, and whether the link was revoked. Do not post it in a public support message.
Billing and responsibility
The owner remains responsible for all hourly and configuration charges. Sharing does not transfer ownership or payment to the recipient.
Use the narrowest useful role. Start/Stop, settings, and Automation can affect spending; Manage sharing can grant more access; Delete Server permanently removes the world.
